The exquisite and delicate sand rose or desert rose (Gypsum) is one of the nature s fascinating quirks: not a flower at all but a mineral which crystalises in a unique rosette growth habit that is dissolved in the sea water. Found in a variety of sizes some look remarkably like a rose flower with its petals wide open; others form into beautiful bladed spheres and still others form large clusters comprised of many small rosette crystals. No one sand rose is identical to any other.
Since pure gypsum is transparent sand roses are the colour of the sand in which they are embedded. Sand roses are found in a variety of sizes ranging from small rosettes a centimeter across to large clusters more than one meter in diameter. These natural treasures are worth the effort of digging them out. People of the Sahara desert believe that the Sand Rose has an internal energy that is used for protection wealth and purification since it is the pure Mother Nature's design and creation. It can be put at home for the same beliefs or it can simply be used as a unique and uncommon attractive ornament as a decoration at home (in Aquariums gardens in kitchen in lounge room hanging on the wall on display cabinets etc) in your business particularly Jewellery shops antique shops unique artifacts shop etc. or it can also be added to your stones collection. Je recherchais une paire de boucle d'oreilles particulière et j'ai trouvé ce site. Malheureusement, il n'y en avais pas en vente. Alors j'ai pris contact et on m'a proposé de la commander si il la trouverais lors d'un voyage dans le désert algérien. A son retour, j'ai reçue un mail ainsi qu'une photo pour me prévenir qu'il l'avait trouvé. Elles sont magnifiques, le produit est de grande qualité, Je les ai reçue très rapidement. Le vendeur est à l'écoute et peut vous procurer les produits qui ne sont pas forcément en vente dans sa boutique. Je suis vraiment ravie d'avoir fait cette transaction.

Hacene, thank you for your notification, I shall look forward to receiving the Sand Roses. And it is exciting to think my belts are being handmade especially for me in Algeria - it is obviously a fascinating country. I'm too old to travel now, but love learning about places I have never seen. The photos (modern and old) are fascinating. I run a very tiny gift shop in a very tiny place (Lemon Tree Passage). The shop is part of the waterside unit my husband Ray and I live in. Not to make a profit, but to keep me occupied and interested as he is an invalid now. The community is getting familiar with the fact that The Little Gift Shoppe always has something unusual. Not that you need to know all that, but I had to compliment you on your web site. I don't know who has created it for you, or if indeed you have put it together yourself, but whichever applies, it is one of the best sites, both from content and composition that I have visited.
