The continent of Africa consists of 53 countries with huge potential for investment, development and growth. It has abundant natural resources and ample human capital. Africa is ready for greater investment. To celebrate African Culture in Australia, the Africa Festival was held in Sydney.

Nine African High Commissions: Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Botswana, Nigeria, Mauritius, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Libya participated in the festival.
The Africa Festival, is now in its fifth successful year, providing a SHOWCASE for and ACTIVELY MARKETING Africa’s development potential, to the Australian marketplace. The Festival is focused on encouraging investment in Africa and strongly endorses NEPAD (New Partnership for Africa’s Development). Investment through partnerships with responsible African companies and individuals provides skills and employment. This leads to long term growth and self sustainability. Investment through partnerships reduces failure, alleviates poverty and is key to a higher standard of living for all Africans in the long term.
