La France a colonisé l'Algérie pendant 132 ans. Ella a envahi la région le 05 Juillet 1830 pour la quitter avec une guerre le 05 Juillet 1962. La France a construit beaucoup de bâtiments et de routes pour donner à l'Algérie une image moderne semblable à la France, mais aussi détruit beaucoup de valeurs historiques et culturelles de la région.
Cette photo a été prise aux environs de l'année 1902. C’est une reproduction, sur un papier dur, d'une image très vieille, qui peut contenir quelques taches ici et là. Si vous ne souhaitez pas recevoir cela, veuillez donc nous le faire savoir à l'avance.

Hacene, thank you for your notification, I shall look forward to receiving the Sand Roses. And it is exciting to think my belts are being handmade especially for me in Algeria - it is obviously a fascinating country. I'm too old to travel now, but love learning about places I have never seen. The photos (modern and old) are fascinating. I run a very tiny gift shop in a very tiny place (Lemon Tree Passage). The shop is part of the waterside unit my husband Ray and I live in. Not to make a profit, but to keep me occupied and interested as he is an invalid now. The community is getting familiar with the fact that The Little Gift Shoppe always has something unusual. Not that you need to know all that, but I had to compliment you on your web site. I don't know who has created it for you, or if indeed you have put it together yourself, but whichever applies, it is one of the best sites, both from content and composition that I have visited. I don't know if Algerians recognise our New Year celebrations, but I send you and your family my latest buzz phrase.... Have a great 2008!

This is a very exciting website! I like being able to see decent sized pictures of the products, and a brief history and explanation of the items is also very interesting and effective. Im very excited at the opprotunity to purchase such exotic and beautiful items so easily! Gotta love the internet for that right! I just wanted to thank you for the beautiful pieces you sent me, they are even better then I thought as it is hard sometimes to get the feel from a picture. they are truly exquisite, a master craftsmen work. Excelent service throughout my purchase from the beginning till delivery. Some larger company's here need to look at the way customers are served and start treating customers the way Berbero Saharan do as an individual customer.
