Crèche de la nativité Algérienne Berbère faite 100% à la main
(Veuillez Utiliser translate.google.com pour traduire le text ci-dessous)
This is a 6-piece Nativity Crèche from the Berbers of Algeria, 4 men (Joseph and the 3 shepherds), Virgin Mary holding a baby (Jesus) and a Berber rug. First type set ever selling on the Internet and anywhere in the world made by the same artist.
Never realised before by any other artist.
This is the first time ever that an Algerian Berber nativity set/Creche was hand designed, hand moulded and hand painted by a known Algerian Berber artist. She has devoted most of her life sculpting her Algerian Berber ancestors such as Mouloud Mammeri, Massinissa, Jugurtha, MouloudFeraoun, Si moh u mhend, Lala Fatma N Soumer and so on using Algerian Clay, then moulding it in using Plaster, concrete, stone, resin, etc. This set is made with Plaster to reduce the weight in the shipping and in the handling. The Rug is not plaster but more flexible material that can be made out of straw, fabric, rug, etc.
All dressed up in ancient Algerian Berber clothes using paint, all sitting or standing on a Berber Rug from North Africa. The dress of the woman is called Takesiwt and wearing Amendil on her head and the capes of the men are called Avernus and wearing tacacit on their heads. A purely Algerian Berber culture whose religion is 95% Muslim with a very small Christian population.
This set is extremely unique, we guarantee that no one in the world has got it identical as everything is handmade and hand painted from scratch. This is real piece of art and extremely unique.
The pictures you see here are just samples made for some customers in the past; and you will get a set that is similar to them but not exactly the same. Let the artist surprise you with her finest art of moulding and the uniqueness of the pieces. Very detailed pieces knowing they were all made with clay to start off.
The size of the standing men is around 18cm high and the sitting ones are around 12cm high.
Ask any questions you want and we will happily answer them all one by one on the same day if possible.
The price you pay is for the artwork done by the artist, nothing is done with a machine, this is not a mass produced product.
The set will be shipped directly from Algeria, therefore please allow around 30 days to receive it. Please be patient, and do not pressure the artist. Patience makes great results. The set will be made from scratch.
Please note also that if you are interested in more figures, we can organise that, please let us know.

My order was shipped promptly and I was happy with the quality of it, however I don't feel the packaging was adequate for an overseas / airmail package. I always felt confident that this business offered a personal service and that I could contact Mr.Hacene should I require any help. Improvements I would like to suggest are: - that more specific measurements are added to items, so customers can know exactly what to expect as this makes the shopping process easier - that overseas shipments are packaged more securely / adequately to prevent damage to items - that more stock such as women's jewellery items from the Chaoui region could be added. In conclusion I would like express great happiness in finding an English language business that offers North African products such as those from Kabylia. The website is also a nice cultural resource for those who wish to know more about aspects of some of the Algerian cultures. Thank you Hacene. Keep up the good work, Allahumma barik!

Dear Hacene We have just received our first wholesale order from you and are absolutely delighted with the jewellery we ordered. From our very first contact with you, you have supported and advised us every step of the way - thank you so much for all your help. Now we have the jewellery in front of us here in the United Kingdom, the quality and workmanship of this beautifully made jewellery is fantastic and we can't wait to start promoting Algerian traditional crafts here in the UK. We will certainly be ordering from you again - hopefully in the not-too-distant future! Kind regards, Miloud & Carol Adnane Atiya Bijoux, UK
