Hey Monica, how are you?
Berber music is one of the oldest musics in North Africa, it has been modernised over the years but some singer prefer to still sing the old ones.
Basically, our typical instruments are guitar, mandole, flutte, a like trompete that is handmade with special wood, drums, open drums, etc. The Berber singer are singing about the country, the culture, love, family values, and many different aspect of human lives, and most of them are singing politics because of the oppression that are facing in North Africa by all governments. Tamazight is not recognised as official by any government of North Africa, which is a shame. It could have brought wealth to the area.
You can Amazigh songs, Berbers songs, Kabyle songs, Chaoui, Chelhi, mouzabite, chenoui, rifi, etc. They are all dialects of the mother culture of Tamazight or Imazighen.
Hopefully one day I can send you some song, alternatively, you can find some CD's on
